will be running an evening event at Microsoft's London Offices (Cardinal Place)

(Powershell is on the agenda for this evening)

 Windows 2008 R2 brings PowerShell v2 installed by default. It also brings a raft of PowerShell functionality including a provider and cmdlets for Active Directory. This session will introduce PowerShell for those new to it and show you how to use PowerShell v2 and the Microsoft cmdlets to adminsiter your AD. We will also compare and contrast with AD tools currently available in PowerShell. This session will be demo heavy show you how to use the functionality in practice to make the administration of your AD quicker and easier.

Richard Siddaway is a Technical Infrastructure Architect with SCH plc. With over 20 years experience in various aspects of IT. Richard is currently concentrating on the Microsoft environment at an architectural level especially around Active Directory, Exchange, SQL Server and Infrastructure Optimisation. Much of his recent experience has involved migrating enterprises from Windows NT\Exchange 5.5 to Windows 2003\Exchange 2003. . Richard is a PowerShell MVP who founded and currently leads the UK PowerShell User Group. Richard has presented to the Directory Experts Conference, at various events at Microsoft in the UK and Europe, and for other UK User Groups.
